smells like snow *

winter is no good for minimalists.

i was people-watching after class this morning-- it is interesting to see what people choose to wear to stay warm in the winter. different variations in jackets and scarves and footwear, etc seem to be very revealing about a person's self-perception or something like that. i'm supposed to be seeing girls prancing around in ugg boots and mini skirts in an effort to look wintery this time of year; everyone here looks very distraught and unprepared in their sweatshirts and sneakers and fake sheepskin jackets.

i've been forced to continue wearing flipflops despite the 100 degree drop in the stl temperature :P butttt even if i went shopping for shoes it would take me weeks to find the right ones. ryan said he cant see me wearing anything other than flipflops--i agree. i have always had tremendous issues with finding satisfactory coldweather footwear. i have such a hard life.

flipflops in winter make me miss new orleans :'( maybe i will go down to sunny cancun and help the mexicans rebuild after the most recent hurricane. (which reminds me: isnt it ironic how the place i lived in and the place i vacation to every year were both destroyed by those fucking hurricanes?? sorry- self pity is so tacky.)

well anyway.. its monday. i have a case of the mondays. looking forward to the weekend, but that is years away. at least it will be snowing ;)

ughh this lj is kind of annoying me. i was stoned yesterday so my lj entries make me sound like a pretentious asshole; i was simply trying to be witty or whatever. i'm considering deleting that fucking "vulns" write-up. o wellll practice makes perfect.

jenny told me about a dream she had last night (reference my facebook wall). also makes me miss new orleans ALOT. we had so many adventures--wandering up and down broadway, much too tweaked-out always, making friends with random sketchy people to fulfill our agenda. jenny was very good at making us keep ourselves entertained constantly. we always had so much fun..

well its lunchtime. i think ill go have a cigarette...
